Just out of shed for spring sale. In addition to the extensive refit in 2004/05, Halcyon's hull received 4 primer coats and was fared between each coat and finished with 4 coats of Black Awlgrip. Her bottom was soda blasted, 4 layers of barrier coat and painted with green antifouling. 2 coats of varnish were applied to all bright work, and decks repainted with new Non Skid. All work done in 2008.Halcyon is one of four Wasque 32's built with the bulkhead amid ships. This design feature creates a cabin with standing headroom and comfortable accomodations for cruising. The bare hull was delivered to Milford Boatworks in 1972 and over the next two years the owner/builder finished Halcyon with the highest quality craftsmanship and materials. His attention to aesthetic detail is founded in a visually appealing yacht with the trunk cabin and windshield in perfect proportion to the graceful shearline of the hull. She was immortalized in the September 1979 Motorboat magazine article by the renowned yacht photographer Stanley Rosenfeld and his cruise aboard her to Cuttyhunk. The photos from the article reside at the Mystic Seaport as part of the Rosenfeld collection. The pedigree of Halcyon shows in her classic lines and the careful attention to detail afforded her over the years. In 2004/2005 and extensive refit was done to bring her back to new condition. Please check our full specifications for the details of the refit.
