A new "low profile" Simpson Lawrence" remote control electric windlass was installed and coupled with a new Fortress Model FX 37 aluminum anchor with stainless steel deck mounting hardware. All exterior and interior hardware items were removed and re-chromed (chrome over brass) or replaced with new. All exposed mahogany was replaced or refinished, with up to 13 coats of varnish with spectacular effect. Above the waterline, the hull and superstructure was stripped, "boarded" and repainted with no less than four (4) coats of Awlgrip marine paintNew Sunbrella canvas is provided for all windows and exposed varnished surfaces.
"Miss Nansea" was on the hill from 2001 to 2004 while her hull, decks and superstructure were stripped and then brought back to virtually new condition. No details were overlooked, and the result is a gleaming example of a time when American craftsmanship and design were King - a classic Rybovich sport fishing boat in mint condition. The "Miss Nansea" is ready to fish or simply to be admired.
