SELLER DESCRIPTION

Seller has just returned from 6 months in the Bahamas and is ready for offers. For the last 20 years this vessel has undergone some amazing improvements yielding one of the strongest and most maintenance-friendly Formosas around. Formosas are known for their beautiful lines, heavy build and wonderful accommodations. They are also known as the "leaky teakies". With problems like bad decks, leaky ports, wood spars, and damage done by years of water intrusion.Investing countless hours and thousands of dollars over the last 20 years Exodus's Seller has had virtually eliminated all of the known problems with the Formosa, using modern materials and techniques which has rendered a vessel that offers all of the Formosa 41's high points while virtually eliminating all of the low points for years and years to come. For example, all of the teak decks have been removed. The decks were then re-cored with 100-density divinacell foam then fiberglassed and painted. The teak toe rails have been removed and the cap rails are now solid fiberglass. The wood sliding hatches were replaced with Aluminum Bomar hatches, and the teak grab rails have been replaced with stainless steel. The wood spars have been replaced with aluminum in 1998, and custom bow rollers have been added for ease in deploying and retrieving anchors. The entire transom has been re-cored, mast steps replaced, bow pulpit rebuilt, engine and transmission completely rebuilt and the list simply goes on and on. The boat has been rewired and re-plumbed and on it goes. The result is one of strongest most maintenance-free Formosa s around. This vessel will take you wherever you want to go and if you should ever feel the need to open a marine parts store there are enough spares on board to keep you going for an entire year of business. For more information or to arrange a showing please contact Joe Hamilton at 772.349.1025
