1983 Bertram Convertible

Accomodations:
Moving forward and down three steps to starboard is the first guest stateroom, featuring upper and lower bunks which are 6 8 long, with a separate A/C with SMX controls, a full sized hanging locker, storage under the lower bunk and access to the guest head which is also air conditioned and includes a Galley Maid head, full sized stand up shower with a seat, a mirrored vanity with marble counter tops and plenty of storage below.

Mechanical Equipment:
Engine room access is from the cockpit or from the hatch in the Galley floor.The entrance has gas shocks actuators, to hold open the hatch.Twin Detroit diesels 1271 TI s BKX900 hp engines designed by Key Power in Miami. Both engines were totally rebuilt and have 650 hours.All of the filters on both engines, are remote mounted and changed over to spin on filters making service much easier.There is a 110 v oil change system powered by an Orberdorfer pump with a 50 gallon fresh oil reserve that can be filled from the port side of the hull as well as a 100 gal used oil reservoir. This oil change system was all set up with quick disconnects for both engines, the gears and the generators. Oil change system has quick disconnect feature for overboard pump out into a receptacle on the dock. All of the water hoses and fuel lines are new, Exhaust manifolds have been upgraded and there has been all new turbo blankets and all new exhaust hoses. Dual adjustable Ace style engine mounts on both main engines; on starboard engine there is a belt driven emergency pump out system with selector valves for 3 different pump out areas fwd, mid, aft. Galley:
Forward to port is the galley with a full sized stand up refrigerator/freezer. Double custom Stainless steel sink with sprayer and garbage disposal, mirrored backsplash and extra eye level cabinetry custom designed by Bertram. Newline Ice Maker, hide away GE microwave convection oven concealed behind sliding doors. Custom below counter garbage receptacle, Princess three burner stove, and unique cabinetry including filler cabinet on countertop which conceals the stove top, bread storage above the refrigerator. The galley deck is a custom teak parquet design with a storage hatch below which is also additional access to the forward engine room. There is also a separate pantry on the port side with a separate breaker panel just for all of the galley appliances. On the starboard side, in a first ever for Bertram, is an L shaped settee with a table that will lift up and fold out to accommodate eight people for dinner. This deluxe interpretation of a dinette is covered in ostrich skin style leather. Forward of the dinette is the entertainment center with a Sony HiFi Stereo system, Sony DVD/CD changer, Adcom GTP450 am/fm receiver, a separate Adcom amplifier and subwoofer custom built in to the galley breakfast bar. Forward of the entertainment center is convenient and easily accessible locker storage.

Electonics and Navigational Gear:

Deck and Hull Equipment:
Custom Glassed in front windshields, double tinted side cabin windows, Black feature stripes with silver accent stripes, the "clam shell" breather vents (2 forward and 2 aft, on each side) have been removed and glassed over, extra fresh wash down faucet on bow, custom Hatteras style bow pulpit, Ideal windlass, oversized Skene type bow chocks, deck hard ware for a second 40lb Danforth Anchor, there is a 40lb Danforth Anchor in the chute.Another huge feature this boat has to offer is that this is the first 54 Bertram to have all the port holes glassed over all of the hull side. All of the hull side thru hulls have been relocated into the black stripe, also custom generator louvered vents at the stern.
