Accomodations:
The spacious interior layout provided by the broad beam (10.5 ft) carried far aft provides an exceptional amount of room and livability. There is 6â¿¿2â¿¿ headroom throughout and gorgeous new stainless steel ports. All 10 ports can be opened or closed in under 1 minute with secure quick close latches. The forward cabin features a large V-berth with storage beneath, an overhead hatch and shelves to starboard and port. All cushions are new with custom blue fabric. Just aft of the aft and starboard of the forward berth is the head compartment with hot/cold pressure water, stainless steel sink, vanity, shower, cedar lined locker and marine head. The spacious main cabin features Island Packetâ¿¿s signature bulkhead mounted drop leaf table. Overhead handrails ensure safe footing underway. Both port and starboard settee berths have teak cabinets and book shelves, and additional storage areas under and behind the cushions. The starboard settee pulls out to make a double berth. To port beside the companionway steps is the L-shaped galley featuring a 10 cubic foot heavily insulated icebox (It's HUGE), 2 Burner Origo Alcholol stove, stainless steel sink, cutlery drawers and ample storage space. Aft to starboard is a surprisingly large quarter berth with full length shelf and storage beneath that also makes an excellent sea berth. The roomy cockpit can seat eight adults in comfort and features 7â¿¿ long contoured seats with deep coamings. The cockpit makes this boat incredibly comfortable to sail and spend time at anchor. The interior is open yet warm with teak bulkheads and trim throughout, teak and holly sole and new dark blue cushions. The Island Packet 27 is a highly successful IP design with 240 hulls crafted from 1984 to 1992. She is a sturdy coastal cruiser that take you where you want to go in comfort and safety.
