Accomodations:
Owner's cabin is located aft w.centerline double/queen berth ensuite head. Lockers and shelves for storage. V-berth in forward cabin with hanging locker, drawers, and shelves. Head is located on starboard, and is accessible from either forward and/or main cabin. Main cabin has pilot and transom berths; fixed centerline table. U-shaped galley is located on starboard at base of companionway steps. Walkthru is on port/nav station/work bench.
Galley:
U shaped galley is located at the base of the campionway steps on the starboard. It offers double S/S sinks w. h&c pressure water; freshwater hand pump; refrigeration/freezer. Three (3) burner CNG stove w. oven. Ample counterspace and storage.
Electrical System:
Raymarine (Autohelm 7000) autopilot, Garmin gps, Shakespear VHF,
Deck and Hull Equipment:
Schaeffer roller furling w. dark blue sacrificial strip(new 2001); main (new 2004) w. reef points and mainsail cover; (New 2002)120 Jib;bimini w. cockpit enclosure; winch covers. Lazy jack system. Lewmar 52 (2) winches; one Lewmar #40.
1985 Morgan 43 Center Cockpit, In the late 70s, the Morgan Out Island 41' opened up the charter trade in the Caribbean. Why not? The bare boater's dream slept 8 "good friends" in 3 huge cabins and was beamy enough for all. The only problem with the boat was that she wouldn't sail to windward worth a darn. Her long full keel, wide sheeting angles and high wetted surface made her a tank. Who cared? When you have 7 days in paradise and the wind is against you, you simply sail in the other direction. That was OK for the charter pilots but the cruisers wanted something more. Along came the Morgan 43' with a modern shoal draft fin keel, higher sail area to displacement ratios and all the comforts of home down below; Two huge staterooms, two heads and a galley that would make a seagoing chef out of a simple cook.
