Accomodations:
"Calypso" is a beautiful diesel powered 355 Carver in excellent condition! As we walk through the boat starting with the forward cabin we find a full size berth along the starboard hullside and a second smaller single berth slightly above and along the port hullside. There is a dressing seat to port. An opening hatch overhead and two opening ports provide good ventilation. There is a hanging locker to port and four large drawers under the fullsize starboard berth. The cabin is closed off with a privacy door. Aft to port is the guest head with hand held shower, vanity with stainless steel sink and storage under. There is one opening port for ventilation and a vaccuflush toilet with a tankwatch system. Across to port is the galley with a large Norcold refrigerator with separate freezer, single stainless steel sink, Princess three burner electric stove with oven, Sharp microwave oven, coffee maker and lots of storage above and below. To starboard and up two steps is the dinette which converts to sleep two. The main electric panel is outboard behind mirrored sliders. Up one step is the salon with "L" shaped recliner sofa to port and a single barrel chair to starboard. All the side windows open for ventilation. The interior wood finish is white birch and the boat is carpeted throughout. The built in entertainment center is on the port side and features a Quasar color TV, Kenwood AM/FM/cassette stereo system with six speakers (2aft, 2 main salon, 2bridge). There also is a six CD changer, and tape and CD storage. There is a storage locker aft of the entertainment center. The master stateroom is down three steps with a large hanging locker at the bottom of the steps to starboard. Further aft is the master head with separate stall shower, vanity with stainless steel sink and storage under, and a vaccuflush head with tankwatch system. The master stateroom has a queen sized berth offset to port, vanity to starboard, and a large opening window aft. There is shelf storage and an additional hanging locker to port. There also is a separate air conditioning control for the master cabin. The aft deck offers a single molded sink and cabinet to port which houses the icemaker. Down molded steps are the swim platform with a fiberglass "dock type" storage box, outboard bracket, swim ladder, swim shower, and shore power and TV/phone connections. The swim platform has "Weaver" dinghy davits installed. Up three steps from the aft deck is the flybridge with its custom aluminum framed and lashed canvas "bimini" top (canvas new October '04) with eisenglass enclosure that was new in 2001. The helm chair is adjustable and there is seating for two guests immediately to the port of the helm as well as a full bench seat (with storage under) in front of the helm console. All in all a very comfortable layout!
