1999 Bertram Yachts Convertible Sf , By any standard, she is a classic boat with all of the assets one associates wityh a true tournament sportfishing yacht. When the company decided to introduce a new 54 Convertible in 1995, Bertrams engineers retained the proven deepV hull of the original 54 which was, of course, the foundation of her legendary success. The msot notable change of the new 54 is her muscular, more aggressive appearance. The deckhouse is now further aft on the deck, the cockpit overhang is glassed into the flybridge and the flybridge windscreen of the original 54 was eliminated. The 3 stateroom interior is an impressive display of elegant design and superb workmanship. The galley and dinette are forward in the salon, and the cherry wood cabinetry and paneling are finished to a beautiful high gloss. Note that a single fuel tnak in the engine rom relaced the saddle tanks found in the original Bertram 54. A superb open-water performer, a pair of 1250hp CATs will cruise her at 29 knots and reach a top speed of 32-33 knots. Also available is a54 with 12V92s.
