Accomodations:
The Eastbay 38 Hardtop Express was designed to provide splendid accommodations for a cruising couple with the added bonus of sleeping space for occasional overnight guests. Starting forward you'll find a generous V-Berth which in this design serves as the owner's berth. Of the several forward cabin layouts available, the V-Berth plan provides the most space and additional storage drawers under the berth. Vessel has this "most desireable" plan. The sides of this cabin are sheathed in matt-varnished teak, there's a hanging locker, vanity and mirror - there are ample small storage lockers above the berth - what a great space for a weekend on the water!Moving aft you'll find the head on the port side with a Corian countertop, full size Vacuflush electric head and shower area. The lighting in this compartment is great . . . the finish is light and bright . . . there's even a 12v. exhaust fan for added ventilation.Moving a bit further aft you'll find the galley on the port side and the U shaped dinette with teak table to starboard. The galley offers Corian counter tops, a built-in microwave oven, a three burner stove with oven, dual stainless steel sinks, 12v.refrigeration and lockers to please any cruising couple. The finish in the galley is light and airy with off-white laminate, light Corian countertops and satin varnished teak trim. The dinette opposite the galley is again U-shaped, the settee is upholstered in a dark blue fabric and the dinette table drops down to create another double berth. The Eastbay 38 interior plan, as drawn in 1994, has not changed much over the ten years these boats have been in production! That says American Marine / Grand Banks got it right in 1994 as approximately 140 of these boats have been built all with the same interior as you'll find aboard this fine Eastbay 38 Hardtop Express. The original soft top Eastbay 38 evolved, over time, to the hard top model which simply provides so much more living space for you and your crew. The addition of the enclosed bridge deck makes for a quieter boat, adds an additional table for dining "up top" and extends the boating season into both the cooler . . .and warmer months. Vee berth forward - master stateroom (2) Convertible settee - below and to starboard across from galley accommodates two with table lowered (2) "L" shaped settee - in wheelhouse beneath the hard top can accommodate (2)
