2005 HEISLER 32 Chinook Pilot House-Tug-Trawler, Price Reduction! on this wonderful design which was just finished off in 2007. This design was developed in the 1960's by renowned Naval Architect Charles Wittholz. This compact trawler/tug proved to be well-received, and a number of(7-8) were built in various small, custom yards in and around the Chesapeake Bay area. All of the original boats were built as traditional wooden boats(plank-on-frame construction). The single chine hull was found to be very efficient and sea-kindly. The new generation Chinook 32' is of cold-molded construction utilizing the latest in marine ply and epoxy products. She retians her "wooden boat ride" while having the ease of maintenance of a fiberglass boat. She's powered by a Kubota 130hp turbo diesel which allows a comfortable cruise speed of 10kts and a top end of 12-14kts. Her single chine, semi-displacement hull provides a comfortable ride without the excessive roll of many round-hulled trawlers. The enlarged salon windows and raised sheer line give her a more modern, yet still traditional look. Wide walk around decks and substantial bulwarks provide convenience and safety for her passengers. Her layout includes a private stateroom forward with an enclosed head with a integrated shower, raised pilothouse, maine salon aft with convertible settee/dinette, and a large galley. Appraised in April 2007 for $280,000 For more details and showing instructions, please contact Scott MacLean at 207-318-0627(mobile) or email: scott@dimillos.com
