The Meridian 459 Cockpit Motoryacht has been a very popular seller among aft cabins in her class. She has unparalleled spaciousness and lines of sight throughout the cabin. The master features gobs of storage in drawers, cabinets and compartments. The ensuite head is split with a very usable vanity/sink in between. The generous forward guest stateroom features an Island Queen berth with innerspring pillowtop mattress and private access to the guest/day head which also has a separate stall shower.The standout feature of the 459 Meridian is of course the huge cockpit accessible from a slider in the master. The cockpit and spacious lazarette below allowed Meridian's engineers to move the generator and other mechanicals out of the engineroom creating vastly more working room. The cockpit allows for safer line handling from the stern than Motoryachts without cockpits. There is dedicated storage for fenders and dry storage for lines, life jackets and other gear. Note the door on the transom which shields the dockside waterand the electric outlets. Also the lidded slot running along the platform allows you to run your water and electric lines from the back of the boat without having them underfoot while boarding the platform. The cockpit also allows for the easiest boarding of the vessel, whether at a floating dock, medium height fixed docks, or along higher docks or bulkheads, you can easily board from the swing doors at both gunnels, just forward of the wing doors. Accomodations:
Sleeps six in private forward stateroom, two large lounges in salon, and huge private master stateroom. Both master and guest berths feature island queen berth with innerspring mattresses. Guest stateroom features plenty of drawer storage, two hanging lockers and private access to the guest/day head which has a vacu-flush toilet and stall shower. Master features ample and deep drawers, huge hanging locker, storage lockers to fore and aft, nightstands with Karadon tops and drawers. A/C controls and af/fm/cd are accessible while abed. Master head has a very usable arrangement with split head and shower with vanity sink in between.

Galley:
Very complete galley features full size fridge with freezer, microwave, coffeemaker, and an electric cooktop and huge stainless sink both under Karadon solid surface covers for increased workspace. There is also an innovative in-floor pantry with drawers that recess fore and aft within. Another nice feature with this layout is that, while technically "down", it has a huge window at eyelevel and has clear lines of sight to throughout the salon.

Electonics and Navigational Gear:
Premium electronics package includes Northstar 6000i GPS/Plotter with 10" color screen, Northstar Radar, Northstar Auto Pilot, Northstar VHF with remote speaker, Northstar Depth Finder, standard bow and stern thrusters in the Docking on Command system plus a remote for the thrusters. Additional features include compass, Clarion stereo remote, remote spotlight, backlit switches, bridge carpet and two ducts for heat and air at the helm.

Electrical System:
Served by 50amp/250 volt shore power service, Onan genset, 8D batteries and a 50 amp charger.

Deck and Hull Equipment:
Roomy aft deck features an aft seat, wetbar with sink, icemaker and storage. There are weatherproof plex wing doors leading to the side decks. Upper helm area features a center helm with Captain's chair, companion lounge to port, and huge L-shaped lounge to starboard and aft. Abaft of the portside lounge is the bridge entertainment area with table-surface, drink holders and bridge fridge.
