Joan grew up in the Midwest. She arrived in South Florida in '78 and began working in new boat sales.

In 1980 she started with South Florida Boating in Pompano Beach owned by Peter Kehoe.

1985-1987 she sold boats across the country for dealers. She attained a Property & Casualty License in 1987 for Marine Insurance. In 1991 started working with Peter Kehoe & Associates Yacht & Ship Brokerage.

She is presently Administrator for the company, and a licensed broker.
